Ingredients
- 1 lb beef (flank steak or sirloin), thinly sliced
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 tbsp oil for cooking
Instructions
- Marinate the beef in soy sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil for 20 minutes.
- Heat a skillet or wok and add oil, then sauté garlic and ginger for 30 seconds.
- Add the marinated beef and cook until browned, about 2-3 minutes.
- Incorporate the broccoli and splash of water, then cover to steam for 2-3 minutes.
- Mix in oyster sauce and adjust seasoning with soy sauce or red pepper flakes.
- Serve warm over rice or noodles and garnish with sesame seeds.
Notes
For variations, you can substitute beef for chicken or tofu, and broccoli can be replaced with snow peas or bell peppers.
