Ingredients
- 2 ripe bananas
- 1 apple, diced (preferably Granny Smith or Fuji)
- 1 cup whole wheat flour (or oat flour for gluten-free)
- 1/2 cup natural unsweetened peanut butter
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mash the bananas in a large mixing bowl until smooth.
- Dice the apple, removing the core, and add it to the bowl with the mashed bananas.
- Add the whole wheat flour and natural peanut butter to the mixture.
- Crack in the egg and add the baking powder, mixing everything until well combined.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/2 inch thick and use cookie cutters to shape the treats.
- Place the treats on a lined baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden.
- Let them cool completely before serving.
Notes
Make sure to core apples completely and choose dog-safe peanut butter without added sugars.
