Instructions
- Prepare the fruit: Rinse fresh cranberries and chop oranges finely, including zest.
- Combine ingredients: In the Crockpot, add cranberries, chopped oranges, sugar, lemon juice, and spices. Stir until well combined.
- Set it up: Cover the Crockpot and cook on low for about 240 to 360 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Check the consistency: About 30 minutes before serving, check the jam’s thickness and add pectin if desired.
- Mash it up: Use a potato masher for a chunkier texture or an immersion blender for a smoother jam.
- Cool and store: Ladle hot jam into sterilized jars and let cool before sealing.
Notes
Adjust sugar to taste; low and slow cooking is key for rich flavors. This jam can also be frozen for up to a year.
