  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank steak or sirloin, cut into strips
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs or panko
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Slice the steak into long, thin strips.
  2. In a shallow bowl, mix flour with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  3. Set up the breading station with one bowl for beaten eggs and another for breadcrumbs.
  4. Dredge each steak strip in seasoned flour, then dip in egg wash, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
  5. In a skillet over medium-high heat, add enough oil to cover the bottom and test the temperature.
  6. Fry the steak fingers in batches for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  7. Transfer cooked steak fingers to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Serve hot with dipping sauces.

Notes

Maintain a steady oil temperature and avoid overcrowding the pan for the best results.
