Ingredients
- 3 ripe bananas, sliced
- 1 box of chocolate cake mix
- 1 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
- 2 cups sliced fresh strawberries or sliced strawberries in syrup
- 1 jar maraschino cherries
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup milk (whole or almond)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
- Layer sliced bananas on the bottom of the dish.
- Sprinkle strawberries over the bananas, followed by the chopped nuts.
- Evenly sprinkle the chocolate cake mix over the fruit layer.
- Pour the melted butter evenly over the cake mix.
- Pour the milk over the mixture. Do not mix!
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is bubbly and golden brown.
- Let the cake cool slightly before serving warm with vanilla ice cream and a cherry on top!
Notes
For a lighter option, use coconut oil instead of butter and almond milk instead of whole milk.
