Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1 box of chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
  • 2 cups sliced fresh strawberries or sliced strawberries in syrup
  • 1 jar maraschino cherries
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup milk (whole or almond)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
  3. Layer sliced bananas on the bottom of the dish.
  4. Sprinkle strawberries over the bananas, followed by the chopped nuts.
  5. Evenly sprinkle the chocolate cake mix over the fruit layer.
  6. Pour the melted butter evenly over the cake mix.
  7. Pour the milk over the mixture. Do not mix!
  8. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is bubbly and golden brown.
  9. Let the cake cool slightly before serving warm with vanilla ice cream and a cherry on top!

Notes

For a lighter option, use coconut oil instead of butter and almond milk instead of whole milk.
