Ingredients
- 12 large cremini or button mushrooms
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh herbs (parsley, thyme, chives), chopped
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 tbsp truffle oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Gently wipe the mushrooms with a damp cloth to remove any dirt, then remove the stems carefully.
- In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, chopped herbs, salt, and pepper. Add truffle oil to taste.
- Stuff each mushroom cap generously with the creamy mixture.
- Sprinkle breadcrumbs on top of the stuffed mushrooms.
- Place on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until the mushrooms are tender and tops are lightly browned.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For a different flavor, subsitute goat cheese or ricotta for cream cheese. Use pecorino in place of Parmesan if needed.
