Ingredients

  • 4 ripe Bananas
  • 1 box Vanilla Wafers
  • 4 cups Whole Milk
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 4 large Eggs
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 cup Cornstarch

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the milk, sugar, and cornstarch. Whisk until blended. Gradually add the eggs while stirring continuously. Cook until thickened, about 10-15 minutes.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract. Let cool slightly.
  3. In a glass dish, layer vanilla wafers, sliced bananas, and warm custard. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with custard.
  4. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.

Notes

Sprinkle crushed vanilla wafers or add a dollop of whipped cream on top before serving for added flavor and texture.
