Ingredients
- 4 ripe Bananas
- 1 box Vanilla Wafers
- 4 cups Whole Milk
- 1 cup Granulated Sugar
- 4 large Eggs
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1/4 cup Cornstarch
Instructions
- In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the milk, sugar, and cornstarch. Whisk until blended. Gradually add the eggs while stirring continuously. Cook until thickened, about 10-15 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract. Let cool slightly.
- In a glass dish, layer vanilla wafers, sliced bananas, and warm custard. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with custard.
- Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
Notes
Sprinkle crushed vanilla wafers or add a dollop of whipped cream on top before serving for added flavor and texture.
