Ingredients
- 12 ounces fresh cranberries
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 pinch of salt
- Optional spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, clove)
Instructions
- Rinse cranberries in cold water and remove any bruised or unripe berries.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, combine cranberries, sugar, and water. Stir until sugar dissolves.
- Bring the mixture to a gentle boil, stirring frequently to prevent sticking.
- After about 10 minutes, add lemon juice and any desired spices.
- Simmer for another 10 minutes or until the jam thickens to your desired consistency.
- Remove from heat and let cool for a few minutes before transferring to sterilized jars.
- Seal jars and let cool completely at room temperature before storing in the refrigerator.
Notes
Make sure to use fresh cranberries for the best flavor. Adjust sweetness by adding more sugar if desired.
