Ingredients
- 4 firm apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1 egg
- Optional toppings: Whipped cream, caramel sauce, chopped nuts
- 1/2 cup water
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prep the apples: Slice off the top and scoop out the core.
- In a mixing bowl, blend cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and egg; mix until well-combined.
- Spoon the cheesecake filling into the hollowed apples, making sure not to overfill.
- Place the apples in a baking dish and pour water into the dish to keep the apples moist. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until apples are tender and filling is set.
- Serve warm with optional toppings.
Notes
Choose firm apples that hold their shape well when baked. Allow baked apples to cool slightly before serving.
