Ingredients

  • 4 firm apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 egg
  • Optional toppings: Whipped cream, caramel sauce, chopped nuts
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prep the apples: Slice off the top and scoop out the core.
  3. In a mixing bowl, blend cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and egg; mix until well-combined.
  4. Spoon the cheesecake filling into the hollowed apples, making sure not to overfill.
  5. Place the apples in a baking dish and pour water into the dish to keep the apples moist. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  6. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until apples are tender and filling is set.
  7. Serve warm with optional toppings.
