  • Total Time: 27 minutes
  • Yield: 24 servings

Ingredients

  • 3 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter, softened
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 teaspoons Nutmeg, freshly grated
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, beat the unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, mixing well.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, nutmeg, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
  6. Scoop out cookie dough using a tablespoon and shape into balls. Optionally, roll in extra sugar.
  7. Spread the dough balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are lightly browned.
  8. Cool the cookies on the sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.

Notes

For best results, use room temperature ingredients and fresh nutmeg. Don’t overbake to maintain a chewy texture.
