Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef (80/20)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
- ½ cup breadcrumbs
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ cup onion, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Optional spices: Worcestershire sauce, ground mustard
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, onion, herbs, salt, and pepper. Mix gently.
- Add the eggs and mix to combine.
- Take a portion of the meat mixture, flatten it in your hand, place a small cube of cheese in the center, then wrap the meat around the cheese and seal it well.
- Place the stuffed bites on a greased baking sheet, ensuring space between them.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- Let them rest for a few minutes before serving hot.
Notes
Experiment with different herbs and cheeses. Brushing with melted butter before baking can enhance flavor.
