Ingredients
- 1 tube of crescent roll dough
- 1 lb sausage (Italian, breakfast, or turkey)
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 Tbsp fresh rosemary, chopped
- 1 Tbsp fresh thyme, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 2 Tbsp butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the sausage in a large skillet over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat, then mix in garlic and herbs, cooking until fragrant.
- In a bowl, combine softened cream cheese with the cooked sausage mixture, mixing well.
- Lay out the crescent rolls on a large baking sheet, pressing seams together to form a continuous sheet.
- Add spoonfuls of the sausage mixture onto the dough, fold the dough over to encase the filling, and shape it into a circular wreath.
- Brush melted butter over the wreath and sprinkle with additional herbs and cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow it to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving warm.
Notes
For an extra flavor boost, drizzle with honey or balsamic glaze before serving. Fresh herbs enhance flavor significantly.
