Ingredients
- 1 cup fresh cranberries
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 tsp orange zest
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
- Rinse cranberries under cold water, removing stems and blemished berries.
- In a medium saucepan, combine cranberries and a splash of water; bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat and cook until they burst, about 10 minutes.
- Let cranberries cool slightly, then transfer to a mixing bowl.
- Add softened butter, honey, and orange zest, and beat until smooth and well-combined.
- Taste and adjust sweetness or salt as needed.
- Transfer to a decorative jar or bowl and refrigerate for at least an hour before serving.
Notes
This spread can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. It can also be frozen for up to three months.
