Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the fresh cranberries and orange zest gently.
- Scoop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space for spreading.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes until the edges are slightly golden.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- For an optional glaze, whisk together powdered sugar with orange juice and drizzle over the cooled cookies.
