Delightful Peppermint Bark Hot Chocolate Bombs filled with creamy hot chocolate mix and crushed peppermint for a festive treat.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings

Ingredients

  • 8 oz chocolate wafers or chocolate chips (dark, milk, or white)
  • 1 cup hot chocolate mix
  • ½ cup crushed peppermint (candy canes)
  • ½ cup mini marshmallows

Instructions

  1. Melt the chosen chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl or double boiler, stirring frequently until smooth.
  2. Using a silicone mold, scoop a spoonful of melted chocolate into each cavity and spread to form the shells.
  3. Chill the molds in the fridge for about 15 minutes until the chocolate hardens.
  4. Remove the hardened chocolate shells from the molds.
  5. Add a spoonful of hot chocolate mix, some crushed peppermint, and mini marshmallows into the bottom half of each shell.
  6. Warm a plate in the microwave and press the open side of the unfilled shell against it to soften the edge, then press it onto the filled half to seal.
  7. Optional: Drizzle melted chocolate on top and sprinkle with extra crushed peppermint.
  8. To enjoy, heat a cup of milk to steaming, drop in the hot chocolate bomb, and watch the transformation.

Notes

Use high-quality chocolate and ensure the shells are thick enough to hold the filling. Do not overheat the chocolate.
