- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- ¼ cup pure maple syrup
- 1 large egg

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add maple syrup, egg, and vanilla extract to the butter mixture, mixing until smooth.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Drop mounds of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden brown and centers are puffed.
- Let cookies cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
For added flavor, consider chilling the dough for 30 minutes before baking to prevent spreading.
