Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a sheet pan with parchment paper.
- Whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in one bowl.
- In another bowl, beat granulated sugar and eggs until fluffy, then mix in melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract.
- Slowly incorporate the dry mixture into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Pour the batter onto the prepared sheet pan and spread evenly. Bake for about 15-20 minutes.
- Let the cake cool completely in the pan and then flip it onto a powdered sugar-dusted kitchen towel.
- Prepare the whipped cream filling by whisking heavy cream and powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
- Spread the whipped cream over the cooled cake and roll it gently using the towel. Chill for at least 30 minutes.
- Frost with chocolate ganache if desired, and garnish with berries or mint.
- Slice and serve at festive gatherings.
