Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

  • Fresh berries or mint (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a sheet pan with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in one bowl.
  3. In another bowl, beat granulated sugar and eggs until fluffy, then mix in melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract.
  4. Slowly incorporate the dry mixture into the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter onto the prepared sheet pan and spread evenly. Bake for about 15-20 minutes.
  6. Let the cake cool completely in the pan and then flip it onto a powdered sugar-dusted kitchen towel.
  7. Prepare the whipped cream filling by whisking heavy cream and powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
  8. Spread the whipped cream over the cooled cake and roll it gently using the towel. Chill for at least 30 minutes.
