Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup white chocolate chips or chunks
- 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until light and fluffy (about 3-5 minutes).
- Beat in the egg and peppermint extract until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Gently fold in the white chocolate chips and crushed peppermint candies.
- Scoop dough balls onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving space for spreading.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden and centers appear slightly underbaked.
- Cool on the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Chilling the dough for at least 30 minutes can help prevent excessive spreading. For extra sweetness, drizzle melted white chocolate on top after cooling.
