Deliciously sweet and refreshing cookies that combine creamy white chocolate with crisp peppermint for a festive treat.

  • Total Time: 27 minutes
  • Yield: 24 cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips or chunks
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until light and fluffy (about 3-5 minutes).
  3. Beat in the egg and peppermint extract until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  5. Gently fold in the white chocolate chips and crushed peppermint candies.
  6. Scoop dough balls onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving space for spreading.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden and centers appear slightly underbaked.
  8. Cool on the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Chilling the dough for at least 30 minutes can help prevent excessive spreading. For extra sweetness, drizzle melted white chocolate on top after cooling.
