Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup melted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup sugar (for cinnamon swirl)
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon (for cinnamon swirl)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan with butter or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and ground cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, mix sugar and melted butter until well combined.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then fold in yogurt and vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. In a small bowl, mix together ¼ cup sugar with 1 tablespoon of cinnamon.
  7. Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan, sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture, pour the remaining batter, and top with the rest of the cinnamon sugar. Swirl gently with a knife.
  8. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  9. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Use room temperature ingredients for a smoother batter. Do not overmix to maintain a tender texture.
