A comforting and flavorful dish featuring juicy baked chicken drumsticks paired with a creamy paprika yogurt sauce.

  • Total Time: 55 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 8 chicken drumsticks
  • 2 tablespoons paprika (sweet or smoked)
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs (parsley or cilantro) for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the yogurt, paprika, minced garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper until well blended.
  3. Pat the chicken drumsticks dry with a paper towel.
  4. Coat the drumsticks in the marinade and let them marinate for at least 30 minutes, preferably overnight.
  5. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the drumsticks without crowding.
  6. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown and juices run clear, flipping halfway through.
  7. Mix additional yogurt with garlic, herbs, and paprika for the dipping sauce.
  8. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra crispy skin, ensure the chicken isn’t overcrowded on the baking sheet. You can store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
