Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 12 oz egg noodles
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1 cup beef or chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the noodles in a large pot of boiling salted water until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, sauté the onion in olive oil until translucent. Add mushrooms and garlic, cooking until softened. Stir in ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
  4. Mix the beef mixture with sour cream, broth, cooked noodles, salt, and pepper in a bowl until well coated.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and top with shredded cheese.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Let cool for a few minutes, then garnish with parsley and serve.
