Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 12 oz egg noodles
- 1 cup sour cream
- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- 1 cup beef or chicken broth
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the noodles in a large pot of boiling salted water until al dente, then drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, sauté the onion in olive oil until translucent. Add mushrooms and garlic, cooking until softened. Stir in ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Mix the beef mixture with sour cream, broth, cooked noodles, salt, and pepper in a bowl until well coated.
- Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and top with shredded cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let cool for a few minutes, then garnish with parsley and serve.
Notes
For a lighter option, substitute ground turkey for beef and use gluten-free pasta. Fresh ingredients are key for the best flavors.
