Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. Melt the dark chocolate in short intervals, stirring often.
  3. Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and espresso powder.
  4. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  5. Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
  6. Mix in melted chocolate until well combined.
  7. Gradually alternate adding dry ingredients and milk to the chocolate mixture.
