Deliciously spiced lamb samosas served with a sweet and tangy mango chutney, perfect for any gathering.

  • Total Time: 50 minutes
  • Yield: 12 samosas

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground lamb
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp coriander
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup frozen peas
  • 2 tbsp chopped cilantro
  • Pastry dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • Mango chutney (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a skillet and sauté chopped onions until translucent, about 4-5 minutes.
  2. Add ground lamb and cook until browned, breaking it up. Season with spices, then mix in peas and cilantro. Let cool.
  3. Roll out pastry dough, cut into circles, and fill with lamb mixture, sealing edges to form samosas.
  4. Fry in hot oil until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes, then drain on paper towels.
  5. Prepare mango chutney if making homemade and serve with the samosas.

Notes

Ensure the filling is not too wet to avoid soggy pastry. Fry at consistent oil temperature for perfect crunch.
