Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup pecan halves
- 1 package (about 15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Melt the butter and let it cool slightly. In a large mixing bowl, stir in the brown sugar and eggs until well combined.
- Add the milk and vanilla extract, mixing until blended. Gently fold in the pecans.
- Evenly sprinkle the yellow cake mix on top of the pecan mixture without stirring.
- Pour the melted butter over the top of the cake mix.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and bubbling around the edges.
- Serve warm, topped with vanilla ice cream if desired.
Notes
For a unique twist, substitute pecans with walnuts or almond extract instead of vanilla.
