Indulge in these moist and fudgy Salted Caramel Brownies, drizzled with luxurious caramel and topped with a sprinkle of sea salt for the perfect sweet-salty balance.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 8 oz semi-sweet chocolate
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • additional sea salt for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Melt the butter and chocolate together in a medium saucepan over low heat, stirring continuously until smooth. Remove from heat and let cool.
  3. In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together the melted chocolate mixture, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fully incorporated.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, beating in each one until you achieve a glossy texture. Mix in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gently fold in the flour and salt using a spatula, mixing until no streaks remain.
  6. Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan and drizzle half of the caramel sauce over it.
  7. Layer on the remaining batter on top of the caramel and use a knife to swirl it gently.
  8. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  9. Allow to cool for at least 30 minutes before slicing and serving. Drizzle the remaining caramel sauce on top and finish with a sprinkle of sea salt.

Notes

For a dairy-free alternative, substitute coconut oil for butter. You can also use dark chocolate for a more intense flavor.
