- 1 1/2 ounces vodka
- 1 ounce coffee liqueur
- 1 ounce gingerbread syrup
- 1 ounce heavy cream
- Ice cubes
- Ground cinnamon (optional, for garnish)
- Gingerbread cookie (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the Gingerbread Syrup: In a saucepan, combine 1 cup of water, 1 cup of sugar, 1/4 cup of molasses, 1 teaspoon of ground ginger, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, and a pinch of nutmeg. Stir until the sugar dissolves, then let simmer for 5 minutes. Allow to cool.
- In a cocktail shaker, add vodka, coffee liqueur, and gingerbread syrup. Fill with ice and shake well until chilled.
- Fill a glass with ice cubes and strain the cocktail mixture into the glass.
- Gently pour heavy cream over the back of a spoon to create a layered effect.
- Garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon or a piece of gingerbread cookie if desired.
- Stir gently before enjoying the cocktail.
