Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef (or turkey for a lighter version)
- 1 cup cheddar cheese (or your favorite melting cheese)
- 4 large tortillas (flour or corn)
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms (button or cremini)
- 1 medium yellow onion, diced
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 cup lettuce, shredded
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- Optional: avocado, jalapeƱos, or barbecue sauce
Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a splash of olive oil. Add diced onions and sliced mushrooms, cooking until onions are translucent and mushrooms are golden brown (about 5-7 minutes).
- Push the veggies to the side and add the ground beef (or turkey), cooking until browned. Stir in seasonings.
- Lower the heat, sprinkle shredded cheese over the meat mixture, and stir gently until melted.
- Lay a tortilla flat, add a generous amount of the cheeseburger filling, fold in the sides, and roll from the bottom up.
- In the same skillet, add more oil if needed, place wraps seam-side down, and cook until golden and crispy (about 2-3 minutes per side).
- Cut the wraps in half and serve warm with your favorite toppings.
Notes
