Ingredients
- 1 cup strong brewed coffee or espresso
- ½ cup fresh black cherries, pitted and chopped
- 1 tsp vanilla extract or vanilla syrup
- 1 tsp sugar or sweetener (adjust to taste)
- Milk or plant-based alternative (to taste)
- Ice cubes
Instructions
- Make 1 cup of strong coffee or espresso and allow it to cool.
- Pit and chop the cherries.
- In a blender, combine cherries, vanilla extract, and sugar. Blend until smooth.
- In a tall glass, add ice and pour the cherry mixture over it.
- Gently pour the cooled coffee or espresso over the cherry blend.
- Top off with your choice of milk.
- Add optional toppings like whipped cream or a sprinkle of cocoa or nutmeg.
Notes
Feel free to substitute cherries with other berries like raspberries or strawberries. Adjust sweetness to preference.
