Ingredients
- 1 lb fresh broccoli, cut into florets
- 6 slices thick-cut bacon, diced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Optional: red pepper flakes or freshly cracked black pepper for seasoning
Instructions
- Wash the broccoli and cut it into bite-sized florets. Dice the bacon and mince the garlic.
- In a large skillet, add the diced bacon over medium heat and cook until crispy.
- Remove the bacon and place it on paper towels to drain, leaving some drippings in the pan.
- Add butter to the skillet; once melted, add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add broccoli florets and sauté for 5-7 minutes until bright green and tender yet crisp.
- Return the crispy bacon to the skillet and mix well to combine.
- Transfer to a serving platter, sprinkle with extra pepper or red pepper flakes, and serve immediately.
