Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chopped toasted walnuts
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Melt the butter and let it cool.
- In a bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Add the eggs one at a time, whisking after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour and salt. Gradually fold into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Gently fold in the toasted walnuts.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out with a few crumbs.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before cutting.
- For an extra touch, sprinkle with coarse sea salt while warm.
