Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped toasted walnuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the butter and let it cool.
  3. In a bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, whisking after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine the flour and salt. Gradually fold into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the toasted walnuts.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out with a few crumbs.
  9. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before cutting.
