Ingredients
- 1 box chocolate cake mix
- 1 box pudding mix (chocolate or vanilla)
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
Instructions
- Grease the slow cooker’s insert with non-stick spray or butter.
- In a large bowl, mix together the chocolate cake mix, pudding mix, eggs, and water until smooth.
- Pour half of the batter into the slow cooker and drizzle in half of the caramel sauce. Add the remaining batter on top and finish with the rest of the caramel sauce.
- Cook on low for 3-4 hours, keeping an eye on it. The edges should be set, and the center should remain slightly gooey.
- Check doneness with a toothpick. It should come out moist but not wet.
- Let the cake rest in the slow cooker for 30 minutes before serving.
- Serve with extra caramel sauce or vanilla ice cream.
Notes
Avoid lifting the lid while cooking, and consider placing a kitchen towel under the lid to catch condensation.
