Ingredients

  • Fresh peaches
  • Puff pastry or Danish dough

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough: Thaw puff pastry in the refrigerator as per package instructions or roll out Danish dough to about 1/4 inch thick.
  2. Make the Cream Cheese Filling: In a bowl, mix cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until smooth and creamy.
  3. Prepare the Peaches: Slice peaches, remove pits, and toss with sugar and cinnamon.
  4. Assemble the Danish: Cut dough into squares or rectangles, add cream cheese mixture and peach slices, then fold corners towards the center.
  5. Brush with Egg Wash: Brush the tops of the Danish with egg wash.
  6. Bake: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake on a parchment-lined baking sheet for 20–25 minutes until golden and puffed.
  7. Let Cool and Enjoy: Allow to cool slightly and optionally drizzle with a simple glaze made from powdered sugar and milk.
