Instructions
- Prepare the Bread: Cut the bread into thick slices or cubes and lay them in a greased baking dish in a single layer.
- Whisk the Custard: In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, heavy cream, milk, vanilla, sugar, and spices until fully blended.
- Combine and Soak: Pour the custard over the bread, ensuring each piece is well soaked. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
- Crème Brûlée Topping: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Remove plastic wrap, sprinkle sugar over the top, and caramelize using a kitchen torch or briefly bake.
- Bake: Place in the oven for 40-45 minutes until golden brown and set. Let sit for 5-10 minutes before serving.
