Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
- Cream the butter and sugars together until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, and then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the creamed butter and sugar, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking dish.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until edges are golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let cool for at least 10 minutes before cutting into squares.
Notes
Best served warm, but also keeps well in an airtight container at room temperature for several days.
