Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups M&M candies
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Cream the butter and sugars together in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy (3-5 minutes).
- Add in the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Fold in the M&M candies, reserving a handful for topping.
- Spread the dough evenly in the prepared pan and sprinkle reserved M&Ms on top.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice into squares and enjoy!
Notes
For extra chewiness, slightly underbake the bars. Allowing the dough to chill for 30 minutes before baking enhances flavor and reduces spreading.
