Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons matcha powder
- 1 cup white chocolate chips or chunks
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, matcha powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually fold this mixture into the wet ingredients.
- Gently fold in the white chocolate chips or chunks until evenly distributed.
- Drop tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart to allow for spreading.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, until edges are golden and centers are soft.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For added flavor, sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top before baking.
