Ingredients

  • 2 ½ cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter, softened
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • Green Food Coloring
  • Sprinkles and Icing for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream the unsalted butter and sugar together in a large mixing bowl until fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
  4. Gradually add the flour, mixing until a soft dough forms. Add green food coloring and mix thoroughly.
  5. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  6. Roll the dough to about 1/4 inch thick on a floured surface and cut out tree shapes.
  7. Place cookies on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
  8. Cool completely on a wire rack before decorating with icing and sprinkles.
