Ingredients
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Paraffin wax (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare your workspace by clearing your counter and gathering all the ingredients.
- In a mixing bowl, combine peanut butter, softened butter, and vanilla extract. Gradually add the powdered sugar until a dough-like consistency forms.
- Scoop about 1 tablespoon of the peanut butter mixture, roll it into a ball, and place it on a lined baking sheet.
- Chill the baking sheet in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Melt the chocolate chips carefully, stirring until smooth.
- Dip each chilled peanut butter ball into the melted chocolate, leaving a small area at the top exposed.
- Return dipped buckeyes to the baking sheet and refrigerate for another 30 minutes to set the chocolate.
Notes
To achieve a glossy finish, consider adding paraffin wax to the chocolate. Always work with dry hands to prevent sticking.
