Ingredients
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup shredded coconut
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat; remove from heat and cool slightly.
- In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar; whisk until smooth.
- Whisk in the eggs one at a time, along with a splash of vanilla extract.
- Sift together cocoa powder and flour in another bowl; add to the wet mixture and gently stir.
- Fold in shredded coconut and chocolate chips.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
- Cool for 15 minutes, slice into squares, and serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
For a dairy-free option, coconut oil can replace butter. Substitute almond flour for a nuttier flavor.
