Festive tree-shaped cookies made with Oreos, cream cheese, and a chocolate coating, perfect for holiday gatherings.

  • Total Time: 1 hour 15 minutes
  • Yield: 24 cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 package Oreo cookies
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups chocolate melting wafers or chips
  • Sprinkles for decoration
  • Aluminum foil or parchment paper

Instructions

  1. Crush the Oreo cookies in a food processor or with a rolling pin until they resemble fine crumbs.
  2. In a mixing bowl, blend the crushed Oreos with softened cream cheese until fully combined and smooth.
  3. Scoop out small amounts of the mixture and roll them into tree shapes or use cookie cutters.
  4. Place the shaped cookies on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  5. Chill in the fridge for about 30 minutes.
  6. Melt the chocolate using a double boiler or in the microwave until fully melted.
  7. Dip each cookie into the melted chocolate, allowing excess to drip off.
  8. While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle the tops with colorful decorations.
  9. Allow the chocolate to cool and harden at room temperature for about an hour.
  10. Once set, place cookies on a platter and enjoy!

Notes

Feel free to substitute cream cheese with mascarpone for a richer flavor, and use dark chocolate for a bolder taste. These cookies can be frozen for up to two months.
