A delightful blend of flavors and memories perfect for the holiday season.

  • Total Time: 27 minutes
  • Yield: 24 cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts)
  • 1 cup dried fruits (cranberries or apricots)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, oats, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Gradually incorporate dry ingredients into wet ingredients.
  5. Stir in your chosen mix-ins (chocolate chips, nuts, dried fruits).
  6. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets, leaving space between each cookie.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden and centers are soft.
  8. Let cookies cool on baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Store in an airtight container for up to one week.

Notes

Feel free to customize with your favorite mix-ins. Chilling the dough for 30 minutes can help prevent spreading.
