Ingredients
- 1 cup whole roasted espresso beans
- 8 oz dark chocolate (or semi-sweet/white if preferred)
- Cocoa powder or toppings (optional, e.g. crushed nuts, sea salt)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Spread uncoated espresso beans on a parchment-lined baking sheet and roast for 5-7 minutes to enhance flavor.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, add chopped chocolate and microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until melted and smooth.
- Add the roasted espresso beans to the melted chocolate and stir until fully coated.
- Using a fork or slotted spoon, lift the coated beans out and let excess chocolate drip off before placing them back on the parchment paper.
- If desired, sprinkle with cocoa powder or toppings before the chocolate sets.
- Allow them to cool at room temperature or place in the refrigerator for quicker hardening.
- Once hardened, transfer to an airtight container for storage.
