Ingredients
- Fresh cherries
- Dark or milk chocolate
- Toothpicks
- Coconut oil or shortening (optional)
Instructions
- Wash the fresh cherries thoroughly and pat them dry with a kitchen towel.
- Melt chocolate in a double boiler or microwave.
- If using coconut oil, mix it in with the chocolate as it melts.
- Dip each cherry by the stem into the melted chocolate and allow excess to drip off.
- Place chocolate-covered cherries on a lined baking sheet.
- Refrigerate for about 30 minutes until chocolate hardens.
Notes
Ensure cherries are at room temperature for best results. Use dry cherries to avoid clumps in the chocolate.
