- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup milk
- Pinch of sea salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a cake pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and a pinch of salt.
- In another bowl, beat the unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, then incorporate the vanilla extract.
- Gradually alternate mixing in the flour mixture and milk, starting and ending with the dry ingredients.
- Gently stir in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For an extra fudgy texture, reduce the baking time slightly. Use high-quality chocolate chips for the best flavor.
