  • Total Time: 45
  • Yield: 16 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup Packed Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (3-5 minutes).
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then add vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips gently.
  6. Pour batter into the lined baking dish and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until edges are golden brown and a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  8. Let cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then lift out using parchment and cool on a wire rack before slicing.
  9. Serve warm, optionally with vanilla ice cream.

Notes

For a gluten-free version, substitute all-purpose flour with 1:1 gluten-free baking flour. If you want a lighter version, replace some butter with unsweetened applesauce.
