Ingredients
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 8 oz dark chocolate
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup sour cream
- 3 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs or Oreo crumbs
- 1/2 cup melted butter
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Crush graham crackers or Oreos until they resemble fine crumbs. Mix them with melted butter, and press into a springform pan. Bake for 10 minutes and set aside.
- Melt the dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl over simmering water or in the microwave until smooth. Allow to cool slightly.
- In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until creamy. Mix in sour cream, then add melted chocolate, mixing well. Beat in eggs one at a time.
- Pour filling over the crust and smooth the top. Bake for 50–60 minutes until edges are set but center still wobbles. Turn off the oven, leaving the cheesecake inside for another hour to cool.
- Once cooled to room temperature, refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight. Garnish with chocolate shavings or whipped cream before serving.
Notes
Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature for the best consistency. Avoid overmixing to prevent air bubbles.
