Ingredients
- Frozen thick-cut fries
- 1 lb ground meat (beef, turkey, or plant-based)
- 8 oz cremini or button mushrooms, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 2 cups shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese
- Fresh parsley or oregano, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven according to package instructions for the frozen fries. Bake until golden brown and crispy.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté onions until translucent, then add garlic and mushrooms, cooking until browned.
- Add ground meat, cooking until browned. Season with salt, pepper, and herbs. Pour in tomato sauce and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Once fries are done, spread them on a serving platter. Top with meat sauce and shredded cheese. Return to oven until cheese is melted.
- Garnish with fresh herbs before serving hot.
Notes
For extra flavor, add roasted garlic to the meat sauce. Customize toppings with jalapeños, sour cream, or guacamole.
