  • 1 cup whole milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9-inch round cake pan with butter and dust it with flour, or line it with parchment paper.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk. Mix until smooth.
  7. Gently fold in the blackberries.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  10. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
