Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend)
- 8 slices thick-cut bacon
- 4 slices cheddar or American cheese
- 1/2 cup ranch dressing
- 4 burger buns (brioche or whole wheat)
- Fresh toppings: lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and pickles
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook your bacon until crispy. Drain on paper towels and set aside.
- While the bacon cooks, divide the ground beef into 4 equal parts and shape them into patties, making a slight indentation in the center.
- Season the patties liberally with salt and pepper.
- Using the same skillet, increase the heat to medium-high and cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adding cheese in the last 30 seconds to melt.
- Assemble the burgers by placing fresh lettuce on the buns, followed by the patty with melted cheese, crispy bacon, ranch dressing, and any other desired toppings.
- Serve immediately with a side of crispy fries or salad.
Notes
Let the meat come to room temperature before cooking for even cooking. Avoid pressing down on the patties while cooking to keep the juices intact.
