Ingredients
- 2 cups confectioners’ sugar
- 2 tablespoons softened butter
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 1 tablespoon peppermint extract (or crème de menthe)
- Unsweetened cocoa powder (for dusting)
- Dark chocolate (for coating)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine confectioners’ sugar, softened butter, milk, and peppermint extract. Mix until smooth.
- Dust hands with powdered sugar and roll the mixture into small balls, flattening them into patty shapes.
- Chill the patties in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
- Melt dark chocolate over a double boiler until smooth and glossy.
- Dip each patty into the melted chocolate, letting excess drip off before placing them back on the baking sheet.
- Refrigerate until the chocolate has set, about 15-20 minutes, then enjoy!
Notes
Feel free to add finely chopped peppermint candies to the filling for added texture. Experiment with different types of chocolate for coating.
